Fleet Foxes-He Doesn't Know Why

I've seen Fleet Foxes all over the Internet for the past 6 months, but I never really gave them a shot. About two weeks ago a special friend sent me a copy of some of their material. I gave it a listen, but it didn't really satisfy my needs with music. Later in the week, I had a friend come up and visit and coincidentally, Fleet Foxes were on constant repeat in his car. I have to say that they they're slowly growing on me...

Friendship Surgery...robbed

This past week has been a big disappointment for the dorm. Sonoma State has an event called the Campus Movie Fest every year were they hand out cameras and macs for a week to make a five minute film. Last year we took best comedy with the epic "The Day I Decided to Become a Robot and Kill Everyone" video...

Pretty legit right?
This year I convinced my roommate and good friend, Kyle Britto

to gets gets hands dirty(literally) and defend our title. For five days, Kyle had no life and wrote the matrix with this video . Honestly, Friedship Surgery was top five of the 16 films shown but for some odd reason, it didn't get awarded in any category. It's a little fishy that the videos that won had some of the judges in part of their videos.
That prize should have been delivered to us without no question. Apparently, the video was to gruesome for a couple of P&%@#@*. Nonetheless, here's the video that should have one......but didn't

Noah and the Whale-Shape of my Heart

It was nice going to the city and meeting up with a very good friend from back home yesterday. It was almost unbelievable getting to see a very close friend from back in da' hood. As we were leaving Amoeba record store, I stumbled upon a Noah and the Whale flyer. Apparently, the band is playing a free show at Amoeba on the second of October(f-yess)!
I simply love the creativity about NATW videos that I had to put this up. Here's Noah and the Wall with "Shape of my Heart".

Gavin Really Wants Me

Since I'm going to attend a comedy/hypnosis show later on tonight, I thought I would post an episode from a comedy web series that you can watch through ifc.com. Moshe Kasher was one of the comedians who came here to Sonoma State last semester and by the end of the night, sent me home with my sides aching from laughter. Here's the Mary Van Note show in

Tokyo Police Club-Graves

So it's no secret that I'm one of the biggest fans of TOKYO POLICE CLUB. These guys have taken over my life for the past two years and counting. They come a long way from baking cupcakes at their first show to getting a record label at Saddle Creek. Some people say they sold out appearing on MTV.It really makes no difference to me, as a fan who bought them food last time I saw them in Pomona, CA . Today, as I was Youtubing, I found their official video for "Graves", which happens to be me favorite song of their current record ELEPHANT SHELL. I heard this song back in 07' through the Daytrotter session TPC did back in February and instantly fell in love with the song. Tokyo Police Club is going to go on tour soon and this will be the first time I will be missing them as their playing The Treasure Island Music Festival in San Fran. which brings the ticket prices to 65$ for one day, and 115$ for both days. As a college student "ballin' on a budget" the money isn't available. But if you're around the area, definitely attend!
